Dollar Rally

The dollar is rallying hard while gold and the Euro are getting beat down. Is the Republican victory the cause for this as government spending is more likely to get curtailed? Or are the problems in Greece growing?

Here's my take.

Until proven otherwise, the market is still reacting like a trained puppy. It is being bought at every dip. Like yesterday.
I think this pullback also gets bought.
But we are running out of reasons to rally and the bulls WILL soon be exhausted. My call has been January 26th. I'm sticking with it. We haven't really hit lower lows in the dow yet to call this a move lower, we will.

The pullback will be about 6-8% and then a rally. Good luck

My take: both got way overbought by very early December; they've been working off that condition ever since.

Applesaucer,

Wouldn't you say that in the current political climate it will be marginally harder to debase the dollar?

Dawg, MED could be a solid trade. Support around 20. This stock moves after earnings(Jan 29) Last 1/4 it popped 15% This 1/4 last year it also popped 15%.

tsachy, you going to take any profits here?

I think earnings will be good. There seems to be nothing wrong with MED.

The story that brought down the stock seems to be a scam. And Barry Minkow who is accusing med of being a ponzi scheme is the guy who ran ZZZ best carpets which was a real scam.

So far so good. Almost got out when it broke 20. I should have waited till around 19.95. That is the real support. Slightly below 20.

I might cover a little but have not decided yet. If we came down quick into the 1110-1120 area I would cover pretty aggressively. That should be where the first decent bounce should develop from but ultimately im looking for 5%-10%

I think it was "a top". Im not sure if it is "the top". I think we will see a 5%-10% correction.
