Uneventful

Today's trading was uneventful. The question I am pondering is if the consensus is expecting a strong first half, have they already positioned themselves that way or will that occur next week, when everyone returns? Have a good night.

Who is the "everyone", expecting a first half rally? I'm certainly not. We are overdue for a pullback. The longer we go without the greater and deeper it shall be. So let it be written, so let it be done!

I agree with you. I should have said the consensus and i will make that change.

The question I am pondering is, is a correction more likely to start this week or a few days into January?

When I look at the March lows for some of these stocks, am I the only one thinking to myself, why didn't I buy some?? Ford jumps out at me. $1.50 I mean come on. What was I thinking!

The rest of this week should be light trading. Unless Israel nukes Iran.
Next week we have...GDP? Unemployment number? What else that could move markets.

Next week everybody returns from vacation and starts from scratch.

You could have also bought GM @ $1.50 on its way to zero or Citigroup @ $20 on its way to $3. Look forwards not backwards.

My guess: It will be like last year -- up through Jan 4, then down.
