Strange Day In A Strange Market

The market would not rally early in the day despite a spate of "better than expected" numbers. However, the market did not want to sell off late in the day either. I feel confused and will try to make some sense of it over a cold beer. Have a good night.

They don't ring a bell at the top, but they sure do give all kinds of hints. The market action today is reinforcing my belief that we will have a final intraday rally with a selloff in the final hour either today or tomorrow.
Get ready to sell.

I would just like to point out another 'beat', YHOO, which is up 5% after-hours. But there is no carry over to the index futures. Granted they are a 2nd tier bellweather at this point.

WFC is the next big name on tap for tomorrow. The market was not able to rally off GS or JPM blowout earnings. C and BAC were yawners. If WFC beats and the market doesn't rally I am betting the ranch.

I won't even wait for MS as they will obviously blowout on trading profits. The market has spoken on that one via GS though.
